Do you require a reading prescription and a distance prescription?  Finding it hard to read up close or on a computer screen while wearing your lenses?

There are many options available to patients experiencing presbyopia, a weakening of the muscles that allow us to focus on objects up-close.  Multifocal contact lenses can help this condition by providing a lens that has more than one perscription in the lens.  Multifocal lenses are different from traditional lenses and require some adjustment before the vision becomes comfortable.

For those patients that are unable to adjust to the multifocal lenses there is an option called monovision.  Monovision is a technique in which one eye is corrected to see distance (usually the dominant eye) and the other eye is corrected to see up-close.  Using monovision allows each eye to perform only one job, however it may also require an adjustment period.

Every patient is different. We strive to find the best options for you!
